IAN GIBSON is an independent West Sussex County Councillor and Mid Sussex District Councillor for East Grinstead and Crawley Down
As an Independent Councillor, Ian does not have to follow a political party line; he is free to decide
every issue on its merits and further the best interests of his residents.
At WSCC Ian is a member of the Green and Independent Alliance. He sits on the Performance and Finance Scrutiny Committee and the Planning and Rights of Way Committee. Ian was first elected in 2021.
At MSDC Ian is a member of the minority joint Liberal Democrats and Independent Group Administration He is Cabinet Member for Sustainable Economy and Housing. Ian was first elected in 2019 for the Crawley Down and Turners Hill Ward.
Ian is also an elected member of East Grinstead Town Council, Worth Parish Council and Turners Hill Parish Council.
